” Once In A Lifetime”

I heard a beautiful song recently by and artist named Landon Austin. The song entitled ” Once in a lifetime” is one of the most beautiful songs I have had the pleasure of hearing, and I am almost certain I will walk down the isle to it. If you have seen any wedding videos recently, chances are you have heard it. If not you can listen to it HERE.

I thought since the lyrics are so powerful, I would break them down and explain what I think about when I hear them.

I think summer rain refers to the unexpected joys in life that happen suddenly. You can run and observe them from a safe place, but he his love holds him in place.

I’m caught in your eyes

His love controls him, he is wrapped up in it. It takes his complete attention to the point it’s all he can focus on.

I know this doesn’t happen twice

Lightning only strikes one, like a love like this. This love, this person, is his once in a lifetime love.

Sometimes it feels like the person you love knows every aspect of you, even if you have never told them. It feels like you have told them everything when you haven’t. You would do anything and everything this person asked you, you’ll spend you entire lifetime willingly being wrapped around their finger.
